The National Association of Home Builders' annual Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards program highlights creative development concepts, innovative financing strategies, great design, and superior management and marketing in the apartment and condo marketplace.
Awards Categories
The awards are divided into four primary groups: Developer, Firm, Marketing and Individual. Applicants can apply for any category for which they meet the criteria. Applicants should review the individual criteria for each award.
Eligibility
To be eligible in the Developer or Marketing category, the nomination must pertain to a project that first became available for sale or for rent after Jan. 1, 2009. The same project may be entered for awards in multiple categories. Last years' winners are not eligible for the same award previously won, but may enter other categories. Finalists from previous years are eligible in any category.
Recognition of Winners
NAHB Multifamily will honor the 2012 Pillars award winners online in a virtual ceremony on Oct. 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Finalists will be announced on Thursday, July 12.
The virtual ceremony includes all the elements of a live awards presentation, including a master of ceremonies and a montage of creative video and images of each winning project's unique features and marekting materials. Winners will receive a personalized crystal award trophy. All finalists receive plaques suitable for display in their offices and/or at their multifamily communities.
