Wood frame construction is widely used in the United States. NAHB works with codes and standards organizations to develop cost-effective requirements and guidelines for use and protection of wood, including conventional wood frame construction, wind and seismic design, wood preservative treatments, moisture protection of wood, and wood foundations.
