Effluent Limitation Guidelines (ELGs)

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is under a court order to develop new stormwater requirements for the construction industry called Effluent Limitation Guidelines (ELGs) by December 2009. EPA issued a proposal with the options they are considering for rulemaking. This regulation will impact storm water dischargers from new construction and land development activities. The resources below provide information on the proposal as well as steps you can take to get involved in submitting comments, and learn about NAHB’s effort to ensure the ELGs will not be overly burdensome.
